A centerpiece of the space is an antique mechanical piano that’s over 100 years old that the owners lovingly restored and tuned, giving it new life. Adding to the restaurant’s charm are its small, intimate bar, colorful paintings on the walls, and expansive windows offering diners a glimpse of the lively streets of Hannibal Square.

PIANO’s recent recognition in the local dining scene showcases their exceptional offerings. They proudly secured the second-place spot for Best Restaurant in Winter Park by Orlando Magazine and won awards for Best Wine List (take a peek at the list here) and Best French Cuisine by Orlando’s Best.

New Kid on the Block, Decades of Expertise

Cafe – Boutique PIANO is the result of a family’s more than two-decade journey in the restaurant industry. Their story began in 2000 with a European fine dining establishment in Russia, which they operated for 17 years before relocating to Winter Park. The family’s culinary history shaped their vision for a space that fuses European traditions with the charm of the local community.

“We wanted to create a home away from home - a place where people can enjoy great food, curated wines, and a cozy, intimate dining experience,” shared the team at PIANO.

And the Winter Park community welcomed PIANO to the neighborhood with open arms, embracing PIANO’s vision wholeheartedly. “Being part of this neighborhood has been incredibly rewarding. The relationships we’ve built with our guests - from regulars who feel like family to those discovering us for the first time - are the most fulfilling part of our journey,” they shared.

The Demetree Global team recently had the opportunity to sample the PIANO menu at the Taste of Hannibal Square and it quickly became a favorite of the night - especially the mussels! Newcomer Joel Brandwein, Asset Management Associate at Demetree Global, attended his first office outing and shared his thoughts on PIANO: “I now understand why PIANO was recognized for having the Best Wine List. The wine was full-bodied and perfectly complemented the smoked salmon dish, which was absolutely superb.”

What’s Next for Cafe – Boutique PIANO?

As they celebrate their recent achievements, Cafe – Boutique PIANO is already planning for the future. With aspirations to open two additional locations in the next five years, they aim to share their love for European-inspired cuisine and warm dining experiences with even more guests and possibly incorporate a larger space for hosting private events.

“Our goal is to expand while preserving the qualities that make us special - our focus on quality, authenticity, and creating a welcoming space,” they explained.
