Demetree Ventures and Jenkins Capital have acquired the final corner parcel at 2011 Aloma Avenue, completing a decades-long family vision for the Aloma Shopping Center.

On March 14, 2025, Demetree Ventures and Jenkins Capital, operating as 2015 Aloma Avenue Corporation, acquired 2011 Aloma Avenue from Fifth Third Bank for $1.9 million. This purchase marks a significant milestone in the legacy of Aloma Shopping Center, completing a vision that began over 60 years ago when two Central Florida homebuilders—William 'Bill' Demetree and William 'Bill' Jenkins—first laid the groundwork for what is now a thriving shopping center in Winter Park.

With this acquisition, the partners now own the entire stretch of property from St. Andrews Blvd. to Lander Road off of Aloma Ave., solidifying their long-term commitment to the community and the continued success of Aloma Shopping Center.

"This is more than just a real estate acquisition - it's the fulfillment of a shared vision that began in the 1960s," said Matt Clement, Principal at Jenkins Capital. "Our families have remained committed to Winter Park for generations, and we look forward to carrying that tradition forward while exploring new opportunities to enhance this area."

For over six decades, the Demetree, Jenkins, and Clement families have operated the Aloma Shopping Center, ensuring its growth and relevance in the Winter Park community. Today, Mary Demetree, Ann Clement, Sara Jenkins and Matt Clement continue the legacy set forth by their fathers and grandfather, expanding their investment in the area and reinforcing their dedication to preserving and improving Winter Park's commercial landscape.

The corner parcel at 2011 Aloma Avenue, located next to Mellow Mushroom, represents the final missing piece of the puzzle for the partners, aligning with the original vision of a fully integrated shopping center. The Aloma Shopping Center, home to Publix, Aloma Cinema Grill, Pet Supermarket, Mellow Mushroom, Dunkin', and Centennial Bank, will continue to serve the community with a strong mix of retailers and services.

"This acquisition represents more than just strategic growth - it symbolizes a continued partnership built on trust, tradition, and a shared commitment to bettering our community," said Seth Heller, Managing Partner of Demetree Global. "By adhering to our co-founder Bill Demetree's vision and focusing on the diamonds in our backyard, we remain dedicated to thoughtful, local investment. We're excited for what the future holds as we look to expand our partnerships and explore new opportunities to invest in Winter Park."

With the completion of this acquisition, Demetree Ventures and Jenkins Capital remain focused on long-term, community-driven investment and look forward to future ventures that enhance the neighborhood's growth.
